چکیده

Advective accretion disks and winds are the most self-consistent solutions today. We describe this paradigm briefly and show how it attempts to explain some of the interesting observations of the galactic microquasar GRS1915+105.

Fundamental States of Accretion/jetconfiguration and the Black Hole Candidate Grs1915+105 Sandip K. Chakrabarti and Anuj Nandi

Advective disk paradigm of black hole accretion includes self-consistent formation of shocks and outflows from post-shock region. We apply this paradigm to understand rich variation of the light curve of the black hole candidate GRS1915+105. We propose that out of five possible fundamental states the black hole candidate GRS1915+105 moves around among three of them creating all possible observed

Understanding Galactic Black Hole Candidate Grs 1915+105

We interpret observed features of the black hole candidate GRS1915+105 in the light of the advective flow paradigm. The light curve of this black hole is seen to be of four classes, Soft, Hard, Semi-Soft and Intermediate. Each class can display more than one type of light curve making altogether twelve or more types of light curves. In each type, the mode of accretion may be one or more of thre...

The decline and fall of GRS 1915 + 105 : the end is nigh ?

The galactic microquasar GRS1915+105 has been in a continuous state of outburst since 1992, over 20 times longer than any other black hole X-ray transient. Assuming that the outburst is powered via accretion of an irradiated gaseous disc, we calculate how the predicted outburst duration varies according to the efficiency of the self-irradiation mechanism. At least one current model leads to the...

Characterising anomalous transport in accretion disks from X-ray observations

Whilst direct observations of internal transport in accretion disks are not yet possible, measurement of the energy emitted from accreting astrophysical systems can provide useful information on the physical mechanisms at work. Here we examine the unbroken multi-year time variation of the total X-ray flux from three sources: Cygnus X-1, the microquasar GRS1915+105, and for comparison the nonacc...

We report simultaneous X-ray and infrared (IR) observations of the Galactic microquasar GRS1915+105 using XTE and the Palomar 200-inch telescope on August 13-15, 1997 UTC. During the last two nights, the microquasar GRS 1915+105 exhibited quasi-regular X-ray/infrared (IR) flares with a spacing of ∼ 30 minutes. While the physical mechanism triggering the flares is currently unknown, the one-to-o...
